Gopalpuram Monument, Trincomalee

This memorial was built to commemorate the death of 22 LTTE cadre who died in the seas off Trincomalee, in May 1990, during the IPKF occupation. This memorial was opened on May 6th 2003 (during the ceasefire). It is no longer in existence.
